About You: The Social Media Lead at DesignMyNight is a motivated self-starter with razor-sharp intuition and strong analytical and organisational skills. This individual has a growth mindset and strives to hit KPIs. They are responsible for future-proofing channels, consistently delivering news first-hand, and improving brand sentiment. They have a can-do attitude and are comfortable managing a busy workload. The SML oversees DesignMyNight-owned social media platforms. They work with team members to form and sign off plans while taking an active role in the day-to-day of organic, with additional support linked to paid activity. They execute the department's strategy to ensure DesignMyNight creates content that drives value, meaningful interactions and satisfies core KPIs. They focus on several metrics, including driving traffic to DesignMyNight.com, growing audiences and nurturing engagement while converting users to make a booking or purchase.
Responsibilities:
- Content Creation & Strategy: Lead multi-channel social media management, creating engaging social-first content (copy, imagery, video), whilst staying current with platform updates, SEO best practices, and hospitality industry trends to drive organic growth and engagement.
- Team Leadership & Collaboration: Line manage two direct reports, set performance benchmarks, and work collaboratively across departments including creative services, account managers, and digital marketing teams to deliver integrated campaigns.
- Data-Driven Performance Management: Report confidently on KPIs including traffic, engagement rates, and follower growth to Senior Marketing & PR Manager, using historical data to inform strategic decisions and identify quick wins for optimal results.
- Brand Advocacy & Community Building: Protect brand values whilst building relationships with PR firms, influencers, venues, and clients to secure exclusive content opportunities, foster meaningful community interactions, and enhance brand loyalty across all DesignMyNight platforms.
Skills:
- Technical Proficiency & Analytics: Comfortable with high-volume data analysis using GA4, Plausible, Hootsuite, BITLY, Later, SEMrush, and Meta's advertising tools, alongside AI integration to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
- Content Creation & Strategy: Strong copywriting and storytelling abilities with video production skills, trend-spotting expertise for social-first content, and SEO optimisation knowledge to drive engagement and brand success.
- Leadership & Communication: 1-2 years' leadership experience managing team members, fostering accountability and growth, whilst communicating effectively across departments in both planned and reactive situations.
- Community Management & Problem-Solving: Excellent organisational skills with priority-driven time management, proactive community engagement in brand tone of voice, and swift problem-solving capabilities for both strategic and day-to-day challenges.
