The Finance team works with all the departments within the Bank as well as the Executive Committee to provide financial, regulatory and management information for decision making that drives the Bank’s overall business strategy. Working in the Finance team provides a well-rounded view of the Bank thus constantly providing challenges on how to provide timely and accurate information relevant for decision making.

Your day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Process and record financial transactions including invoices, payments, receipts.
  • Monitor and reconcile bank statements and company accounts on a regular basis.
  • Assist with preparation of monthly management accounts, budget reports, and cash flow forecasts.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable ledgers, ensuring timely payments and collections.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in line with accounting standards.
  • Ensure compliance with internal financial controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Assist with audits by providing relevant documentation and responding to queries.
  • Liaise with suppliers, clients, and other stakeholders regarding financial matters.
  • Support the preparation and submission of tax returns (e.g., VAT, payroll taxes) where required.
  • Provide administrative support to the Finance team as needed.

Person/Experience required:

  • Someone who has completed their A levels (or equivalent).
  • No prior professional experience required – full training provided.
  • Someone committed to their professional development and willing to work towards a recognised finance qualification (e.g. AAT or ACCA).
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good organisational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
