We are looking for a qualified Dental Nurse Assessor to assist with observations in a selection of dental practices around the north west and north wales areas. Based in Widnes, we provide City & Guilds Level 3 Dental Nursing training.
Responsibilities
- The post holder will support and assess learners enrolled on Level 3 Dental Nursing programmes ensuring they achieve both their academic and workplace objectives.
- Overseeing the workplace and work experience elements, assessing vocational competence, and maintaining effective communication with learners, employers, and colleagues.
- The role also involves promoting the Academy’s training and education provision and contributing to the wider quality assurance process.
Hours and Salary
This role is currently based on a zero hour contract with the possibility of more of a set part time role when the workload expands. We offer a starting salary of £15.00 per hour with travel expenses.
Skills & Experience
- The post holder will be a qualified Dental Nurse (minimum Level 3) with current GDC registration and recent professional practice in a dental setting.
- They will bring experience of supporting, training, mentoring, or assessing learners in a college or workplace environment, alongside holding a recognised assessor’s qualification (TAQA, D32/33, or A1/A2).
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills are also required.
