Our Lifeguards are responsible for ensuring safety across our pools, waterslides, and attractions, as well as delivering exceptional guest service throughout every visit.

Work Schedule
Day shifts Monday to Friday and weekend availability. Holiday shifts available.
Location: On-site at Sandcastle Waterpark, Blackpool
Requirements
- Must hold a NPLQ (National Pool Lifeguard Qualification)
- Strong swimmer, capable of swimming a minimum of 50 metres
- Able to tread water
- Can dive into the deepest part of the pool (up to 1.8 metres)
- Can swim breaststroke and front crawl to an adequate standard
- Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work as part of a team
Desirable
- Knowledge of water safety procedures
Responsibilities
- Constantly monitors swimming areas to identify potential hazards or unsafe behaviour.
- Enforce pool rules and regulations to promote safety and prevent accidents.
- Respond swiftly and effectively to emergencies, providing first aid as required.
- Maintain clear communication with pool visitors, staff, and emergency services when necessary.
- Conduct regular safety checks of the pool area, including equipment and surroundings.
- Assist with organising swimming lessons or aquatic programmes if needed.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the pool deck and surrounding areas.
Experience
- Previous experience as a lifeguard or in a similar role
- Knowledge of compliance management related to health and safety standards is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills are essential for effective interaction with visitors and team members.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond efficiently during emergencies is vital.
