We are looking for a new receptionist to join our wonderful team to provide efficient, compassionate and high-quality care. The successful candidate will need to be flexible and available to work in the mornings and afternoons. This is a 25-30 hours a week, 1 year fixed term contract with a view to extension or permanent.

Main duties of the job:

  • Greeting and assisting patients in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Assisting patients with online consultation.
  • Managing patient appointments, cancellations, and repeat prescriptions.
  • Handling telephone and face-to-face enquiries with empathy and confidentiality.
  • Navigating patients to the most appropriate healthcare professional or community service.
  • Supporting clinicians with administrative tasks to improve patient flow and access.
  • Maintaining accurate records and updating patient information in line with data protection standards.
  • Working collaboratively as part of the practice team to ensure a high standard of care.

About us:

The Aberfeldy Practice is a well-established GP practice based in Poplar, Tower Hamlets. We have been serving the local community for more than 20 years with a growing population of 14,500 registered patients. We are also a training practice. There are 5 GP Partners, 10 salaried GPs, a large nursing team, alongside various other allied healthcare professionals. The successful candidate will be working in our beautiful purpose-built premises, having just moved in 2024.
