Location: Speedwell Court, Mansbridge Road, West End, Southampton, SO18 3HW.

Pay: £14.77 p/h – £15.24 p/h

Hours: 42 hours average per week, based on a 2‑week rolling rota. Shifts include alternate weekend working. Shifts: 8pm‑8am.

Role

  • Overall responsibility for regular monitoring of the health, care and social needs of residents as the recognised Senior Carer on the shift.
  • Preparation, implementation and review of personal care plans, including the administration of medication.
  • Supervise, support, coach and develop other team members; liaise with residents and external carer services, ensuring residents’ needs and wishes are at the centre of the care we provide.
  • Lead the team and respond to emergencies when staff or residents need help.

About You

  • Experienced Carer, ideally with a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care or equivalent, or committed to working towards this.
  • Demonstrated organisational and staff‑management skills, with competence in writing, updating care plans and administering medication.
  • Passionate and committed to providing exceptional care to residents, their families and friends.

This role requires eligibility to work in the UK, two satisfactory employment references and an Enhanced DBS check, the cost of which will be met by Abbeyfield.
