We are looking for a proactive and motivated Building Surveyor to join a leading Property Services team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering an efficient, customer-focused repairs service across their schemes. You will be based on site with frequent travel around Tamworth!
Technical Officer- Damp, Mould & Disrepair
Location: On site, Tamworth
Contract Duration: 6 month contract
Rate: £35-£40 per hour via Umbrella
Mileage: 0.45p per mile from office to sites
Technical Officer duties:
- Take a lead role in service delivery.
- Manage complex damp, mould, and disrepair cases.
- Undertake inspections and prepare specifications of work.
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with statutory timescales.
- Support service improvements and compliance reporting.
- Work proactively to reduce risk and improve customer outcomes.
- Demonstrable experience of managing housing disrepair claims and legal interfaces.
To succeed as the Technical Officer, you need:
- Experience of preparing technical evidence and witness statements would be advantageous.
- Experience of implementing or preparing for Awaab's Law preferred.
- Significant demonstrable experience in a surveying role in a housing association, private practice, local authority, or similar.
