Our client is a highly-respected defendant firm with offices nationwide. They are currently recruiting for a solicitor or associate to join their well-regarded property damage team in their Manchester or Birmingham offices on a hybrid basis. This role is open to individuals with a strong civil litigation background looking to retrain.

Your new role

  • Independently manage a caseload of property damage related claims
  • Contribute to higher-value cases as part of a collaborative team
  • Interpret and respond to client needs, ensuring all casework aligns with client SLAs and industry best practices
  • Assess risk and exercise sound judgment to support and justify decisions to both internal stakeholders and external clients
  • Organise and prioritise tasks to enhance productivity and streamline workflows
  • Cultivate strong relationships across internal teams and external partners to expand business networks and deepen understanding of the firm's strategic goals and client expectations
  • Serve as a mentor and primary point of contact for junior team members, offering guidance and support as needed

What you'll need to succeed

  • Qualified solicitor or chartered legal executive (NQ+)
  • Previous civil litigation experience
  • Experience of property insurance claims (beneficial)
  • Strong technical proficiency and a keen enthusiasm for all aspects of commercial insurance
