We are seeking a well-qualified, experienced, and caring Teacher of Design & Technology to join our dedicated teaching staff, from September 2026, on a permanent basis. This is a part time vacancy working 0.5 FTE, teaching Design & Technology up to GCSE in Key Stage 4. The ability to teach Design & Technology to A Level in Sixth Form would be an advantage, as would the ability to teach Key Stage 3 Art, but is not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Design & Technology up to GCSE in Key Stage 4.
  • Possibly teach Design & Technology to A Level in Sixth Form.
  • Possibly teach Key Stage 3 Art.
  • Drive strong pupil engagement, progress, and examination outcomes in the subject.
  • Encourage students to become independent learners.

Qualifications

  • High level of subject knowledge in Design & Technology.
  • Evidence of successful practice in engaging pupils and achieving good examination outcomes.
  • Excellent teaching and classroom management skills.
  • Experience working with students in Key Stage 4 and, ideally, Sixth Form.
