Base Salary: £38,140 including a location allowance. Eligibility for Location allowance is based on your home postcode. On average our VW Technicians earn c. £42,000 however, our top performers can earn upwards of OTE £48,000. Start and finish on your driveway, (paid from the moment you get in your van to the moment you get home). Sign on locations also available for discussion. Each year, choose your standby hours preferences to suit your lifestyle and work life balance. This is the job
- A communicator: You ensure that your customer is completely taken care of. You are the master of diagnostics and you will be the person taking the time to competently and effectively explain your fix to your customer; always providing the best service.
- A self-starter: You are responsible for your own workload, by being there for your customer from beginning to end, as well as filling out your paperwork concisely, you make your own day worthwhile.
- A fixer/problem solver: You will revel in utilising your technical expertise to solve a variety of issues. Whether that’s fixing a warranty related issue or a roadside breakdown, you are the solution bringer and enable your customer to get on with their day.
What will I be doing?
You’ll be the superhero fixing a brand vehicle breakdown by the side of the road or undertaking warranty repairs working on an appointment basis. You take the time delighting your customer, helping them get back to their journey. In return, we’ll go the extra mile for you, with a two-week AA induction, a two-week VW induction, plus ongoing online or onsite training including EV and HV training.
What do I need?
- You’ll need NVQ3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent qualifications with appropriate experience.
- Some knowledge of working on one or multiple VWG brands or vehicles.
- It’s essential that you have a full category B driving licence, with 6 points or less.
- To be happy working shifts, which could include evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays.
