As our Vehicle Technician, you’ll always go the extra mile. In return, we’ll go the extra mile for you, with excellent training, support and development opportunities. You will provide a quality, professional and effective assessment of clients' vehicles against pre-specified criteria. Providing advice and assistance within your own area of competence, you’ll ensure that in cases where a client requires information, or assistance, they are directed to the appropriate Team Leader or AA service or department.
What will I be doing?
- Contributing to the effective operation by providing a Mechanical Report to AA business customers/organisations.
- Carring out vehicle checks to a high standard on client’s premises against set criteria within set time frames.
- Ensuring the optimum use of time and costs when undertaking diagnostic work.
- Maintaining a high level of knowledge in the field of automotive systems ensuring that all equipment tooling can be used in an efficient and correct manner.
- Maintaining a high standard of serviceability and cleanliness of all of the equipment, uniform and tooling issued, reporting any loss, theft or breakage to line manager immediately.
What do I need?
Essential:- L2 City and Guilds or NVQ Level 2 in Motor Vehicle Mechanics (or equivalent)
- Driving licence (car) with max 6 points
- To be able to get to client’s sites (no company vehicle provided)
- Previous car inspection or appraisal work
- Previous MOT experience
