As Technical SEO Manager, you'll play a key role in shaping how millions of customers find and engage with The AA. Working across multiple business areas, you'll lead the delivery of our Technical SEO and AI Search strategy, partnering with engineering, product, content and marketing teams to drive measurable improvements in visibility, website performance and commercial outcomes.

What will I be doing?
- Deliver the Group's Technical SEO and AI Search roadmap, identifying and implementing opportunities to improve organic visibility and website performance.
- Partner with engineering, product, content and marketing teams to ensure Technical SEO requirements are embedded into new developments and digital initiatives.
- Conduct technical audits across multiple websites, providing prioritised recommendations that improve crawlability, indexing, structured data, Core Web Vitals and overall search performance.
- Champion best practice across both traditional search engines and emerging AI search platforms, helping to future proof our digital estate.
- Monitor, measure and report on technical performance, using data and insights to prioritise activity and demonstrate commercial impact.
- Act as the technical SEO subject matter expert, building strong relationships across the business and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
What do I need?
- A strong background delivering Technical SEO strategies and hands on optimisation within complex websites or digital environments.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate confidently across technical and non-technical teams.
- Strong technical expertise across areas such as website architecture, JavaScript SEO, structured data, Core Web Vitals, crawlability and indexing.
- Experience using leading SEO tools such as Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, GA4, Sitebulb or similar platforms to identify opportunities and drive measurable improvements.
- A commercial mindset with the ability to prioritise work, balance multiple initiatives and translate technical concepts into business value.
- Curiosity for emerging search technologies, including AI Search and Generative Engine Optimisation, with a passion for continually improving digital performance.
