Overview
Join our Roadside Assistant Mechanic development programme. We’ll fine-tune your expertise with ongoing support and training with the goal of becoming a fully-fledged Roadside Rescue Mechanic in the future.
What you’ll be doing
- A communicator: You’re comfortable sharing knowledge and information in terms your customers understand, ensuring they feel safe that their needs will be taken care of.
- A dedicated learner: While on your journey to becoming a fully-fledged patrol you will soak up knowledge and learn from others, on the road or in structured learning settings.
- A self-starter: You will be comfortable working independently as well as in a team, driving to different locations in all weathers.
- A fixer/problem solver: You will use your technical expertise to solve a variety of issues, whether that’s fixing the vehicle by the roadside or recovering the vehicle to a garage, enabling the customer to continue their day.
What you’ll need
- NVQ 2 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent qualifications with appropriate experience
- Full category B driving licence with 6 points or fewer; if you don’t have category BE (towing), we’ll fund it for you
- Willingness to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays
