Location: Oldbury – Hybrid – Three Days in Office

Contract: 6 Months Fixed Term Contract

This is the job

This position involves developing a comprehensive reporting suite for the Road Product Management team. Your role will include enhancing our existing reporting capabilities to drive efficiency across the broader team and ensure exceptional customer outcomes.

What will I be doing?

• Collaborate with the Road Product Team to assess our existing reporting capabilities and define the scope of requirements for the reporting suite.
• Analyse the raw data structure to understand its format and ensure accuracy in reporting by identifying any data inconsistencies.
• Develop interactive dashboards that facilitate regular reporting for the team.
• Construct the reporting suite using flexible code that accommodates future changes and anticipate evolving needs and ensure adaptability.
• Generate reports that are clear and easily comprehensible for both the team and wider stakeholders and use visualisations and concise summaries to convey information effectively.
• Enhance existing reports to capture key performance indicator (KPI) trends and movements and provide actionable insights based on these trends.
• Deliver reports that enable customer analysis and support business decision-making and tactical delivery by understanding customer behaviour.
• Develop an approach to measure whether we are achieving positive customer outcomes. Specifically, focus on reporting for forums such as Monthly Business Reviews.
• Ensure that the reporting suite allows for ad-hoc analysis.
• Document metric definitions, calculations, and any underlying logic used in reporting and maintain a glossary for reference and consistency.

What do I need?

• Demonstrated ability to deliver precise and valuable reporting that significantly impacts product performance.
• Proficient in creating Management Information (MI) suites that are easy to comprehend and develop recommendations and collaborate with key stakeholders to formulate action plans.
• Highly numerate, with expertise in data manipulation and proficient in using analytical tools such as advanced Excel, SQL, SAS, Power BI, and Databricks.
• Takes into account both commercial goals and customer objectives and contributes to the broader business strategy and objectives.
• Skilled at reviewing, interpreting, and translating business requirements and creates straightforward reporting solutions aligned with business needs.
