Are you passionate about data protection and privacy? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where your expertise can make a real impact? We’re looking for a Privacy Assurance Manager to join our Assurance team and help shape the future of privacy compliance across our organisation.
As a Privacy Assurance Manager, you will lead and deliver privacy assurance audits to support our compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You’ll work closely with key stakeholders including the Data Protection Officer and the Privacy Team to ensure robust privacy practices are embedded throughout the business.
What will I be doing?
- Plan and execute privacy assurance audits, providing clear and actionable insights.
- Develop and maintain the annual Privacy Assurance Programme.
- Collaborate with internal teams and third-party partners to ensure GDPR compliance.
- Act as a subject matter expert on data protection within the Group Risk and Compliance function.
- Support horizon scanning to stay ahead of regulatory changes.
- Provide guidance and education to the business on privacy best practices.
- Deputise for the Head of Assurance when required.
What do I need?
- Strong experience in data protection and privacy, with demonstrable knowledge of UK GDPR, ICO guidance, and international data transfer obligations.
- Proven ability to develop and implement privacy assurance frameworks and conduct horizon scanning for regulatory changes.
- Demonstrated experience providing risk-based, commercially focused advice in a business or consulting environment.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including experience influencing senior leaders and C-suite executives.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and multitasking abilities, with a detail-oriented and customer-focused mindset.
- Ability to assess business proposals, contracts, and supplier arrangements for data protection compliance.
