This role acts as a vital link between Indoor and Outdoor Recovery Operations. It requires a data-led approach to assess, analyse and apply AI and BI tools to support operational decision-making. The ability to process, interpret and translate large datasets across multiple software platforms is essential from the outset.
Working in close partnership with Control Tower and Regional teams, the role overlays forecasted activity with trend analysis to shape effective operational strategies. It also involves evaluating the impact of implemented changes and advising stakeholders on outcomes. Strong communication skills are essential, with the ability to build relationships at mid to senior levels and present insights with clarity, logic and commercial awareness.
Responsibilities
- Defining the business ‘north star’ by uncovering optimal solutions through data and forecasting
- Driving operational cost savings through impactful change delivery
- Reviewing outcomes and translating findings into clear, actionable proposals
- Communicating confidently with large and diverse groups to influence and inform
- Building strong, collaborative relationships across all stakeholder levels
- Leading change initiatives across multiple business areas with clarity and conviction
- Ensuring accountability by aligning stakeholder groups to agreed outcomes
- Synthesising data from multiple sources into a single, coherent view for decision-making
- Producing and presenting management information (MI) at the required cadence
- Designing modelling tools that support stakeholder evaluation and strategic choices
- Partnering with Control Tower teams to maximise resource efficiency
- Playing an active role in shaping and delivering future-state (ROOTF) solutions
Requirements
- Demonstrated involvement in change management or organisational transformation initiatives
- Confident in designing and delivering impactful presentations using PowerPoint
- Skilled in data-led decision making, with a proven ability to translate insights into solutions
- Background in fast-paced operational environments, with agility to adapt and respond quickly
- Experience in building or contributing to systemic modelling tools to support strategic decisions
- Hands-on experience with transport scheduling and optimisation engines such as ORTEC or Paragon is highly advantageous
- Project management experience or qualifications (e.g. PRINCE) are desirable
- Familiarity with high-volume, just-in-time (JIT) environments is a distinct advantage
- Previous exposure to transport or logistics operations is beneficial, though not essential
