Overview
The AA is looking for a mechanically-savvy, solution-focused SMR Maintenance Controller to optimise vehicle service outcomes across our B2B and B2C networks. Location: Basingstoke, residential working. Working hours: Monday – Friday 09:00 – 17:00 with occasional Saturday working. This role helps minimise downtime and maximise customer satisfaction.
What You’ll Do
- Handle incoming service queries with clarity and technical confidence
- Authorise repairs, manage costs, and push for compliance & efficiency
- Collaborate across Operations, Finance, Sales, and Network teams
- Influence process improvements and drive smart commercial decisions
- Communicate service outcomes simply and effectively
Who You Are
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
- Experienced in service resolution and vehicle repair networks
- A natural problem-solver and strong communicator
- Able to analyse data, manage cost vs. margin, and adapt fast
- Skilled in MS Office and confident navigating service legislation
