Position Lead Content Designer – 12‑Month Fixed Term Contract (FTC).

Responsibilities Set the vision, standards, governance and frameworks for content design across large scale digital journeys.

Lead, coach and develop the content design team, building capability, confidence and clear progression pathways.

Champion accessible, inclusive, user‑centred and compliant content, including FCA aligned best practice where relevant.

Partner with Product, Design, CRO, Legal, Compliance and senior business stakeholders to align content strategy with customer and business outcomes.

Use research, behavioural data, performance insight and customer evidence to shape content decisions and improve journey performance.

Drive continuous improvement in content design practice, including the responsible use of emerging tools and AI where they can improve quality, consistency and efficiency.

Qualifications Senior level content design, UX writing or content strategy expertise, gained across complex digital journeys and customer focused environments.

Experience in acquisition‑led, commercial, regulated or customer service‑based organisations would be beneficial, particularly where content has had a clear impact on conversion, digital self‑service, customer understanding or service outcomes.

Strong knowledge of UX, accessibility, inclusive design, plain English and regulatory compliance, with the ability to embed best practice across teams.

A proven track record of leading content design strategy at organisational level, not just delivering individual content changes.

Experience building, coaching and developing content design teams, including capability frameworks, standards and ways of working.

The ability to influence senior stakeholders, challenge constructively and secure alignment across product, customer experience and business priorities.

Confidence using research, data and performance insight to demonstrate measurable impact for customers and the organisation.
