Head of Digital Architecture in London

Overview: Head of Digital Architecture – London (hybrid working 3 office days per week). Permanent, full time role with an annual bonus, cash‐car allowance, and private medical insurance. As the Head of Digital Architecture you will be a strategic and technically credible leader, shaping a group‐wide digital and AI strategy, ensuring alignment with long‐term business goals and customer outcomes, and driving enterprise‐scale transformation across a £20m+ investment portfolio.

Responsibilities:

• Define and own the digital architecture vision and roadmap across web, mobile, APIs, and customer platforms.
• Lead the transition to modern, cloud‐native architectures (API‐first, event‐driven, composable).
• Drive group‐wide digital architecture strategy, ensuring alignment with enterprise and customer outcomes.
• Provide leadership and direction to a team of architects, ensuring high‐quality solution design and governance.
• Act as a bridge between business and technology, translating complex architecture into clear value‐driven outcomes.
• Champion AI‐enabled architecture and emerging technologies, embedding innovation into digital platforms.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated senior‐level expertise in digital architecture across web and mobile platforms within large‐scale, enterprise environments.
• Strong capability spanning business, solution, and strategic architecture, with experience operating in complex organisational landscapes.
• Proven people leadership and line‐management experience, building and leading high‐performing architecture teams.
• Deep knowledge of cloud technologies, particularly AWS and Azure, supported by a broad and adaptable technical perspective.
• Established track record of influencing senior stakeholders and delivering impactful, large‐scale digital transformation initiatives.
• Forward‐thinking mindset with a strong interest in AI, emerging technologies, and modern engineering practices, driving continuous innovation.
