The Service Maintenance and Repair Technician position is part of our mobile mechanic team, where you’ll provide first‑class service and repair work, attending appointments for service inspections and breakdowns at customers’ workplace or home.

Job Description

The role of a Service Maintenance and Repair Technician is multifaceted and impactful, and due to a successful year we are expanding the team. You will be the friendly face who provides a first‑class service and repair work, whether at customers’ workplace or home.

Responsibilities

  • Communicator: Master of diagnostics and fundamental in delighting customers; sharing knowledge in a way that assures their needs are met.
  • Self‑starter: Thrive working independently or within a team, driving to various locations in all weathers, handling varied appointment‑based work and breakdowns.
  • Fixer / Problem solver: Excited to utilise technical ability to solve a variety of issues on roadside or at appointments, enabling customers to get on with their day.
  • Ambassador: Friendly face of the UK’s largest motoring organisation; ready for anything, anytime, anywhere, and in any weather.

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 2 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent qualifications with demonstrable industry experience within a workshop environment.
  • Full category B driving licence with 6 points or less.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, which may include evenings and weekends.
