What will I be doing?
- Define and evolve the AA’s enterprise data architecture vision, principles, and target states, aligned to business strategy and regulatory needs.
- Provide architectural leadership and assurance across data initiatives, ensuring solutions align to enterprise standards and long-term direction.
- Design and govern enterprise data models, domains, and shared definitions to ensure data is consistent, trusted, and reusable across the organisation.
- Partner with senior business and technology leaders to ensure data architecture supports critical decisions, value streams, and outcomes.
- Guide the alignment of data platforms, analytics, and AI-enabled capabilities to agreed information architecture and business priorities.
- Define and maintain enterprise data architecture standards, patterns, and governance, contributing to design authorities and review forums.
What do I need?
- Proven experience operating as an Enterprise or Lead Data Architect within a complex, enterprise-scale organisation.
- Strong background in information architecture and data modelling (conceptual and logical), including defining enterprise standards and domains.
- Solid understanding of modern data platforms and analytics ecosystems across cloud and hybrid environments.
- Experience designing data architectures that support analytics, reporting, AI/ML, and operational use cases.
- Ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders, translating complex data concepts into clear business value.
- Knowledge of data governance, data quality, metadata management, and regulatory requirements (e.g. GDPR).
