Shifts: As a patrol you will work on average a 40 hour week with various shift pattern options. You have flexibility to choose a schedule that best suits your personal and professional needs. The number of rest days and shift lengths will vary based on the pattern you select.
As our Roadside Assist Mechanic you’ll go the extra mile for our members. Anything can happen whilst driving, but we get everyone back on the road safely so the show can go on. You’ll be the friendly face of the UK’s largest motoring organisation, the superhero for members, ready for anything, anytime, anywhere and in any weather.
What will I be doing?
- Starting and finishing on your driveway paid from the moment you get in your van to the moment you get home.
- Working independently across varied locations and conditions, while remaining a valued part of a supportive team.
- Using your technical knowledge and clear communication to help ensure a positive customer experience.
- Solving problems on the spot, using your technical skills and calm approach to handle a wide range of roadside situations.
What do I need?
- NVQ2 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent qualifications with appropriate experience.
- Full category B driving licence with 6 points or less.
- Confidence using and adapting to new technology; we’ll provide the tools, you bring curiosity.
- Flexibility to work shift patterns, including evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays.
