Overview
The A World UK CIC is a non-profit organisation based in the North of England. Our aim is to help and support children, young adults, and their families/carers living with Autism. We aim to be an advocate for Autism and raise awareness within the community, by promoting acceptance and inclusion.
Role: Driver and Deliverer of donated furniture and large household items to our Community Retail Stores spanning Warrington, Liverpool, and across Manchester. You will follow a route plan with allocated times across 45 stores in the North of England. The role requires physical activity due to lifting and carrying large items in and out of a vehicle.
Important licensing note: It is your responsibility to have a full, valid driving licence.
Responsibilities
- Collect donated furniture and large household items from people’s homes and businesses.
- Deliver items to Community Retail Stores as per the route plan and times.
- Unload furniture and large items from a large luton van, and assist with loading as required.
Requirements and qualifications
- 21 hours per week on a rota basis.
- Must be over 30 years old.
- Clean, valid UK driving licence.
- Must be able to work effectively as an individual and communicate with all staff members.
- Physically fit with no health issues relevant to the role.
- Expected start time around 8:00 am; latest finish around 7:00 pm.
- Experience: driving for at least 3 years (required).
- Licence/Certification: clean driver\'s licence (required).
- Work Location: On the road.
