The 1922 Clothing Company is an established short lead supplier to the UK high street & online retailers, specializing in menswear & boyswear shirts & jersey from classic styling to high fashion designs & beyond. The candidate will have the opportunity to work in a modern & well-equipped office space, with the potential to work from home one day a week (to be discussed in the interview). The office is a multicultural & friendly environment with a great team feeling.
Salary is subject to experience & to be discussed. The Senior Production Merchandiser must have 3 years’ experience and must have worked within short lead.
The Senior Merchandiser will be responsible for:
- Managing the critical paths
- Liaising with the overseas factories
- Approving lap dips, strike offs, desk looms, bulk fabrics
- Chasing samples
- Ensuring that all orders are dispatched and delivered on time
They will be working closely alongside the account manager, design and technical teams. Applicants for the Senior Merchandiser position must have previous experience working within the clothing industry, must be highly organised and have excellent communication skills.
About you:
- Experience working directly with Turkish factories and mills is essential
- CMT production experience required; you will be expected to deal directly with mills and factories
- Confident and clear communication skills, both verbal and written, with manufacturers, retailers and within the office environment
- Well organised and flexible, with a logical and analytical mind, and excellent administration skills
- Ability to work well under pressure, prioritise work and meet deadlines
- Microsoft Outlook, Office, Word, Excel computer skills are required
