About The Role

Most food safety roles focus on maintaining what’s already there. This one is different. We are a business in transformation, evolving from a single‑brand, single‑channel business into a multi‑brand, multi‑channel nutrition platform. As we expand our brands, products, customers and routes to market, maintaining robust food safety standards becomes more important than ever. That’s where you come in. We’re looking for a Food Safety Systems Specialist to become the driving force behind our Food Safety Management System, someone who enjoys bringing structure to complexity, improving processes, influencing standards and ensuring food safety remains embedded in everything we do. This isn’t a role hidden away behind documentation and audits. You’ll work across the business, partnering with colleagues from Operations, Supply Chain, Product Development and Leadership to ensure our systems not only remain compliant, but continue to evolve alongside the business.

Location: Onsite in Corby, Northants

Role Type: Permanent, Full Time

What will I be doing?

  • These are a highly visible role that sits at the heart of our Technical function, working closely with colleagues across Operations, Supply Chain, Product Development and the wider business.
  • You’ll take ownership of our Food Safety Management System (FSMS), ensuring it remains effective, compliant, audit‑ready and capable of supporting a growing and increasingly diverse business.
  • You’ll be responsible for maintaining and continually improving the systems, documentation, governance and processes that underpin food safety across the organisation.
  • From coordinating internal audits and managing corrective actions through to supporting HACCP reviews and maintaining BRCGS compliance, you’ll help ensure we remain proactive rather than reactive.
  • You’ll also become a key point of coordination across the business, working with stakeholders at all levels to ensure food safety remains embedded in everyday decision‑making and operational activity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage document control, procedures, policies and food safety records
  • Lead the internal audit programme, including planning, tracking and follow‑up actions
  • Facilitate food safety meetings and monitor key food safety performance indicators

  • Support supplier assurance activities, audits and performance reviews
  • Analyse food safety data and provide meaningful insight to stakeholders
  • Partner with operational teams to identify opportunities for continuous improvement

Am I the right person for this role?

Ideally, the candidate has Level 3 qualifications in HACCP and Food Safety and an understanding of BRCGS standards.
