The Digital Designer is a key creative role at The 10,000 Interns Foundation, responsible for producing high-quality graphic design and video content that visually brings our mission to life, creating access and opportunity for underrepresented talent in the UK through our programmes, and equity in the workplace through our systems change approach.
Working closely with the Comms and Marketing team, you will help shape how we show up across our digital channels through bold, thoughtful, social-first creativity. You will design standout assets across LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok and email, create Mailchimp templates and campaign visuals, support website content with strong digital design, and edit engaging short-form and long-form video content.
We are looking for someone who genuinely loves design, is naturally creative, and takes pride in producing work that looks and feels great. This is an in-house role with room to bring fresh ideas, experiment with formats, and raise the bar on how we show up visually, while staying aligned to our brand.
You will be trusted to work autonomously, stay on top of what is happening across the organisation, and proactively deliver what is needed month to month. You’ll have creative freedom to pitch ideas and explore new formats, while working within clear brand guidelines and campaign priorities. This is a part-time role, with hybrid working in our London office and mandatory in-office.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Brand & Visual Identity
- Maintain and support the evolution of the Foundation’s visual identity across socials, email, digital and OOH
- Apply brand guidelines consistently across design and video outputs
- Translate brand direction into clear, cohesive design systems and reusable templates
- Ensure all visual content is high quality, cohesive, and clearly aligned with the brand
- Graphic Design
- Design high-quality graphics for social media, email, website, presentations, reports, and printed materials
- Create campaign assets for key moments like programme launches, events, and pledge push periods
- Produce strong visuals across websites, social media, email, and digital advertising
- Adapt designs for different platforms and formats including LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, and email
- Email & Website Design
- Design Mailchimp templates and campaign graphics that look clean, engaging, and on brand
- Create website assets and page visuals that support key activities and activations
- Improve digital content through strong layout, hierarchy, and clear messaging
- Video Editing
- Edit high-quality short-form and long-form video content with strong storytelling, pacing, sound, captions, and branded visuals, optimised for social and digital platforms
- Social-First Content & Trend Awareness
- Keep up to date with social trends, formats, and emerging visual styles
- Stay on top of video and photography trends and tools to keep improving your craft
- Understand how platforms like TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn work, and what content performs best
- Creative Autonomy & Collaboration
- Work closely with the Brand & Content Manager to support monthly priorities and campaign needs
- Stay aware of what’s coming up across the organisation and proactively design what’s needed
- Bring creative ideas to the table and be confident sharing suggestions that push the work forward
- Respond well to feedback and iterate quickly without losing quality
- Approach your work with care and integrity, making sure our content is accurate, inclusive, and aligned with our mission
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
- ESSENTIAL
- Strong graphic design skills with a high standard of visual execution
- Proven experience editing both short-form and long-form video content
- Mastery of Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, and InDesign or equivalent
- Strong working knowledge of CapCut, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent
- Experience creating content for digital and social media platforms
- Strong understanding of layout, typography, colour, and visual hierarchy
- Confident working to brand guidelines while adapting creative for different audiences and platforms
- Able to translate ideas into clear, cohesive visuals that feel consistent and recognisable
- Great time management and organisation skills, with the ability to juggle multiple deliverables
- Comfortable working under pressure and communicating clearly as part of a team
- Naturally curious, creative, and open-minded, with a genuine interest in improving your skills
- A genuine commitment to the Foundation’s mission and values
- GOOD TO HAVE (But not essential)
- Advanced skills in one or more of the following: 3D design, illustration, copywriting, photography
- Experience working with email platforms such as Mailchimp (building templates and designing email assets)
- Familiarity with website platforms such as WordPress, Webflow, Squarespace, or similar
- An interest in analogue photography/photography, with the ability to occasionally capture 35mm film content (where relevant) for brand storytelling, events, and campaign visuals
