We are looking for a hands‑on Reality Capture Technician to support the launch of LIVE·TEAM’s new Spatial Capture capability. This role will focus on field‑based site capture across stadiums, venues, hospitality environments, retail sites, offices, training grounds, and temporary event builds. You will operate scanning and imaging hardware on site, follow capture playbooks, carry out basic quality checks, and ensure data is transferred cleanly and consistently into the wider processing workflow. You will help create the digital foundations for planning, design, fabrication, measurement, digital twins, and future immersive workflows across LIVE·TEAM. Please note, this role will require regular travel.
What You Will Be Doing
- Carry out site capture using FARO Blink/Focus and complementary tools such as mobile photogrammetry, phone/tablet LiDAR, and 360 capture where appropriate.
- Prepare for capture by reviewing request briefs, site scope, output needs, safety requirements, and access constraints.
- Travel to sites, set up equipment, execute scan plans, and adapt capture strategy based on real on‑site conditions.
- Perform basic on‑site QC to confirm coverage, scan completeness, data integrity, and any obvious gaps before leaving site.
- Upload, structure, label, and hand over captured datasets in line with agreed naming and storage standards.
- Work closely with the CAD/Output & QA Technician to ensure captured data supports the required downstream outputs.
- Support validation scans, PoCs, and trials of new tools such as RealityScan and other complementary capture methods.
- Maintain equipment readiness, batteries, accessories, transfer workflows, and field documentation.
- Feed lessons learned back into team playbooks and standard operating procedures.
The Skills And Experience You Need
- Experience with terrestrial laser scanning, reality capture, survey capture, photogrammetry, or similar field‑based spatial documentation workflows.
- Experience operating scanners, 360 cameras, mobile capture tools, or comparable hardware in live environments.
- Comfortable working across indoor and outdoor venues, temporary structures, active sites, and public‑facing environments.
- Good understanding of capture planning, scan position logic, coverage, and first‑line quality control.
- Strong organisational skills and discipline around file handling, upload, and documentation.
- Able to communicate clearly with project managers, designers, operations teams, and site contacts.
- Comfortable working independently on site while following agreed methods and safety requirements.
- Full driving licence and willingness to travel regularly.
- Experience with FARO hardware or similar scanners.
- Experience with RealityScan, mobile LiDAR, drone capture support, or 360 imaging.
- Experience in events, venues, branded environments, staging, retail rollout, or experiential sectors.
- Familiarity with point clouds, digital twins, and downstream CAD/design outputs.
