Thatcher’s Hotel is a charming Tudor style property set in the heart of the glorious Surrey countryside. With 87 newly refurbished rooms, with multiple event and conference spaces, Thatchers is a stunning property to work within.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Sous Chef with a true passion for great food with a clear focus on presentation and quality service, able to inspire and lead the brigade; working closely with the Head Chef you will be building the brigade and shaping the future dining experiences.
Responsibilities- Create, prepare, cook and present dishes – running your section, leading section(s) and coordinating service with colleagues.
- Mindful of wastage, portions, time efficiencies and working with all departments to ensure smooth service.
- Supporting Head Chef to lead and mentor less experienced colleagues – working as a team to deliver great food to guests in a timely manner.
- Flexibility to cook and serve on any section to ensure smooth service.
- Following Food Safety and Health & Hygiene regulations at all times, including compliance checks and clear up and cleanliness of section.
- Passionate about food, fantastic ingredients and mouth watering taste combinations.
- Determined to deliver the best results, regardless of pressure.
