We have an exciting opportunity to join our award-winning Thatchers Talent Programme, as an Information Communications Technician Apprentice! This apprenticeship is a rare opportunity to join our dedicated infrastructure team, where you can gain hands-on experience across all aspects of IT, learning the Thatchers way and partnering with BPP Training.

What will I be doing?
As an Information Communications Technician Apprentice, you will learn everything there is to know about the Infrastructure team and be the first point of contact for all IT support queries, troubleshooting and resolving where you can and escalating to other team members when necessary. The apprenticeship has been designed to give you the specific skills, knowledge and experience to have a solid foundation to progress at Thatchers. Specifically, you will be:
- Managing all IT support queries.
- Building and configuring PCs and Laptops.
- Daily checks to ensure the Windows and VM environments remain stable.
- Administration of our fixed and mobile phone systems.
- Maintenance of asset lists and departmental documentation.
You’ll gain a strong grounding in the business and develop expertise in IT, communication and supporting the wider business. This full-time role requires you to complete a L3 Information Communications Apprenticeship, provided by BPP Training. With our support, you will attend training sessions regularly and receive dedicated support through 121 sessions with your assessor, balanced alongside your practical skills and experience, at our offices in Sandford.

To be considered as an Information Communications Technician Apprentice, you will need:
- GCSE Maths and English at grade 4/C or above, or Level 2 Functional Skills equivalent
- To be comfortable working within a small, tight-knit and dynamic IT team
- To be a fast learner

- To be resilient
- Ideally have a good knowledge of IT and systems
