Thatcher Associates is supporting a growing civil engineering contractor with the appointment of a Project Manager to support the delivery of a diverse portfolio of infrastructure and construction projects across the South West. The business operates across a range of sectors, including infrastructure, highways, environmental improvement works, industrial civils and general construction schemes, with projects typically ranging from £2M–£20M in value.
This role will suit an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in delivering civil engineering projects under NEC and JCT forms of contract, ideally within live operational environments.
The Role:
- Managing projects from pre-construction through to completion
- Coordinating site teams, subcontractors and suppliers
- Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme and within budget
- Managing client and stakeholder relationships throughout project lifecycle
- Working closely with commercial and operational teams
- Supporting programme planning, reporting and project controls
Requirements:
- Previous experience delivering civil engineering or infrastructure projects
- Good understanding of NEC and/or JCT contracts
- Experience managing projects within the £2M–£20M range preferred
- You must have UK Civil Engineering Project Experience in the UK
- A UK Driving Licence is required
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Commercially aware with a proactive and hands-on approach
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and operational teams
- You are required to be a UK resident or already working for a UK business.
