Thatcham Research is looking for a strategic and hands-on Data Delivery Manager to take ownership of technical delivery including data transformation, integration and application development. As the new Data Delivery Manager you’ll:
- Lead and Inspire: Manage and develop a talented team of developers, data engineers, and DevOps professionals. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Drive Delivery: Organise and oversee multiple workstreams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives.
- Develop Capability: Mentor team members, identify skills gaps, and implement training plans to build technical expertise and career progression.
- Ensure Technical Excellence: Uphold coding standards, conduct reviews, and resolve complex technical challenges.
- Strategic Resource Planning: Lead recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning to maintain a high-performing team.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the key point of contact, translating business requirements into actionable technical plans.
- Champion Best Practice: Implement robust data governance and security standards across all solutions.
Skills & experience that will set you up for success in this role:
- Proven experience in managing technical teams and delivering complex data solutions.
- Supportive leadership skills with a track record of developing people and building capability.
- Hands-on knowledge of Azure data platforms (Data Factory, Synapse, Logic Apps, Functions, API Management) and DevOps practices.
- Expertise in data governance, security, and quality assurance.
- Excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills.

When we work
Our standard working hours are 8:30 - 16:30 Monday - Thursday, early finish on Friday - 8:30 - 15:45 (Talk to us about flexible working if this doesn’t quite suit you – we take work-life balance seriously!)
How we work
We understand the benefits of remote and in-person collaboration and therefore have a hybrid working model – you’ll be expected to work from our office in Thatcham at least two days per week.
