You’ll play a key part in sharing stories that support our mission for safe, secure, and sustainable mobility.
If you’re naturally proactive, inquisitive and love collaborating with colleagues to uncover compelling insights, and bring stories to life, this role is for you! As this role involves proactively seeking out stories and interviewing colleagues some occasional travel to our other locations will be required as needed.
As the new Content Writer, you’ll:
- Source, plan, and deliver compelling content across web pages, news articles, reports, webinars, presentations, research papers, scripts, and brand messaging.
- Collaborate with marketing, creative, and subject matter experts to identify topics, investigate stories, and interview contributors.
- Act as editor, ensuring a consistent tone of voice and style across all content.
- Set and implement style guidelines, offering training and advice to other content creators.
- Manage the content calendar and ensure timely delivery of engaging stories.
- Contribute to our website and ensure a continuous flow of articles on AIQ.
Skills & experience that will set you up for success in this role:
- Proven experience in a journalistic or content editor role, or a degree in English Literature, Journalism, or similar.
- Excellent writing, editing, and organisational skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- A journalistic mindset; curious, investigative, and able to find compelling angles.
- Ability to make technical subjects accessible and engaging.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; collaborative and able to build relationships.
- Experience working to tight deadlines and managing multiple projects.
- (Desirable) Experience with PR, working with journalists, and website content management.
- (Desirable) Membership of editorial professional associations, such as the Guild of Motoring Writers.

When we work: Our standard working hours are 8:30 - 16:30 Monday - Thursday, early finish on Friday - 8:30 - 15:45 (Talk to us about flexible working if this doesn’t quite suit you – we take work-life balance seriously!)
How we work: We understand the benefits of remote and in-person collaboration and therefore have a hybrid working model – you’ll be expected to work from our office in Thatcham at least two days per week.
