Hours: 20+ hours per week | Term-time working considered alongside full time

We’re looking for a Business Development Executive to help build and nurture a strong sales pipeline by engaging with the right kind of prospect organisations that share our ambition to achieve more and value true collaboration. In this role, you’ll play a pivotal part in driving our growth strategy - spotting and developing high quality opportunities while working closely with our sales and account management colleagues.

What you’ll do:

  • Developing validated opportunities to the point of first meeting stage.
  • Researching to identify opportunities and provide market insights.
  • Making first contact with decision‑makers using a mix of outbound calls, emails, and social media.
  • Coordinating and carrying out follow up activity to develop and nurture accounts.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with potential customers.
  • Working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure the right actions happen at the right time.
  • Providing account management support where required.
  • Maintaining accurate account activity and updates within the CRM system.
  • Reporting on account development and pipeline progress.
  • Supporting wider sales and business activities as needed.

We’d love you to have:

  • Proven experience in Sales, Telesales, or Business Development role.
  • A strong track record in prospect identification and cold calling.
  • Confident and professional when engaging with new prospects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Agile, adaptable, and open to new challenges.
  • Able to work independently while contributing positively to a team.
  • Proactive, approachable, and customer focused.
  • Strong organisational and IT skills.
  • Degree‑level qualification or equivalent (desirable).
  • Experience in an engineering and/or manufacturing environment (desirable).
