Resident Liaison Officer – Tower Blocks

Contract Type: Fixed term due to funding for 2 years, Full-Time (37 hours per week)

This is a really exciting time for Thanet District Council’s Tenant and Leaseholder Services, as we embark on a £30+ million refurbishment and retrofit project for our tower blocks.

This project will improve both safety and energy efficiency as well as the environment for 406 households. It is a highly complex project due to the nature of the buildings, using multiple funding streams and requiring compliance with the new Building Safety Act.

We are looking for a dedicated Resident Liaison Officer to join our amazing team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact and contribute to the successful delivery of our Tower Block refurbishment and retrofit project.

As a Resident Liaison Officer, you will act as the primary point of contact for our residents affected by the project. Your role will involve building and maintaining positive relationships with residents, ensuring effective communication channels are established and maintained.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage and empathise with a diverse range of residents. Strong interpersonal skills will enable effective collaboration and relationship building with residents, colleagues and external partners.

Strong IT skills and a high level of proficiency in software such as Microsoft Excel are a necessity.

Residents must be kept at the heart of this project, there will be much disruption as we commence this work and new technologies are being installed.
