Thanet District Council Building Control is looking for a proactive Senior Service Administrator to lead our Building Control administrative functions. This is an exciting time to join the team as we expand our services and negotiate the ever changing landscape of building regulation. This is a key role that combines team leadership with high‑level regulatory oversight, ensuring our busy and growing department remains efficient and compliant as national building safety legislation evolves.
As the Senior Service Administrator, you will be at the heart of our Building Control department. You will manage a dedicated team of Service Administrators, overseeing daily workloads and ensuring the seamless delivery of the Building Control lifecycle. You will also play a key role in the Local Authority’s readiness for the Building Safety Levy (BSL) go‑live. This involves attending MHCLG engagement sessions, managing BSL revenue, and conducting essential regulatory spot checks.
