Thanet District Council is currently recruiting for a Refuse Driver/Loader to join its Cleansing Services department. As a key member of the team you will be responsible for collecting refuse, recyclables and green waste throughout Thanet, providing an important and highly visible service to residents on behalf of the council. This role works 5 days a week, Monday – Friday.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct collection of refuse, recyclables and green waste, providing a high-quality municipal service to residents.

Essential Requirements

  • Full and current Class 2 driving licence.
  • Passed CPC qualification.
  • Valid tacho drivers card.
  • Strong team leadership skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of operating waste collection vehicles and related equipment.
  • Fit to perform physically demanding work, including carrying and moving resident bins.
