Overview
An exciting new opportunity has arisen in the Council\’s Tenant and Leaseholder Services. We are an effective and dynamic department, and we are looking for a Building Safety Compliance Officer to join our team.
Responsibilities
- In collaboration with the Building Safety and Compliance Manager, review and update the building safety case ensuring it is valid and up to date.
- Monitor the status of High Risk Buildings, including the completion of repairs, fire risk assessment actions and scheduled maintenance. Carrying out actions as required.
- Take a proactive approach to compliance certification, identifying gaps in data and/or certificates and following up with contractors accordingly. Regularly review, update and maintain digital records and databases containing compliance and servicing data.
- Support the Building Safety and Compliance Manager in the closure of all time-bound actions and smooth running of compliance programmes. This could include arranging access for the contractor to a tenants home and attending forced entries with the contractor and carpenter.
