Join our Engineering Team at Thanet District Council! We\’re seeking an Apprentice Engineer to join our dynamic multi-disciplined Engineering Team to support in maintenance and project delivery across the Thanet district, but with a focus on the coastline.
Responsibilities include:
- carrying out defect inspections of 19 miles of coastline and making arrangements for repair
- valuation of works
- assisting in the preparation and implementation of coast protection and municipal engineering projects
As an apprentice, you will be required to undertake a recognised part-time course of study that will lead to admission of a recognised professional institution relative to the type of work carried out by the team.
Local government experience is not essential but a sound knowledge of engineering principals and engineering tools such as AutoCAD is.
