The predicted salary is between 22135 - 25374 £ per year.

Salary: Band C Point 13 - 19 (£22,135.89 - £25,374.05 actual salary per annum)

33 hours and 20 minutes per week, Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm

50 minute unpaid break each day, 37 weeks per year, term time only

Start Date: 1st September 2026, Fixed term until 31st August 2027

Thameside Primary School is a part of Osborne Co-operative Academy Trust, our schools have previously supported Cover Supervisors to complete their Teaching Training and progress to teachers within their schools.

Key duties of the role:

  • Supervising classes and supporting pupils
  • Delivering cover work set by the class teacher
  • Providing feedback to the classroom teacher on the pupil’s progress against lesson plans, conduct of the lesson and keeping pupil related records
  • Dealing with any immediate problems or emergencies according to the school’s policies and procedures
  • Collecting any completed work after the lesson and returning it to the appropriate teacher
  • Provide additional support to teachers in classrooms, to carry out administrative tasks when not covering a class
  • Acting as a role model, setting high expectations of conduct and behaviour and adhering to the schools behaviour management policy

The successful candidate will have:

  • The ability to support pupils with learning, emotional and behavioural difficulties
  • Excellent written skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Excellent communication skills, with a positive and helpful attitude
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure and remain positive
  • The ability to follow safeguarding procedures and prioritise students’ welfare
