Finance and Commercial is undertaking a multiyear transformation programme to modernise its organisation, systems, processes, and data capabilities, supporting Thames Water to operate at a FTSE Fit standard. The Workstream Analyst will support delivery of the System Optimisation workstream, working closely with the Transformation Workstream Lead and wider Finance & Commercial teams to improve how the function operates.

What you'll be doing as a Transformation Workstream Analyst:

  • Support the delivery of system and process improvements across the Finance & Commercial function.
  • Support the ongoing development of SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) to improve planning and reporting processes.
  • Work closely with Data, Process and Performance Management teams to identify automation opportunities.
  • Help review the wider Finance systems landscape to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
  • Support the creation of an application catalogue and systems roadmap.
  • Work with Deloitte and internal stakeholders to document systems, functionality and data flows.
  • Identify opportunities for system enhancements, automation and process improvements.
  • Support alignment with the ERP programme and ensure systems integrate effectively.
  • Champion new systems and processes across Finance and the wider business.
  • Support testing, training, user guidance and adoption activities.
  • Gather stakeholder feedback and help translate it into actionable improvements.

Base location: Hybrid

Working pattern: 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday

What you should bring to the role:

  • Experience in process design, testing methodologies and change adoption activities.
  • Be knowledgeable in SAP ECC, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and HFM.
  • Have strong analytical skills, including advanced Excel and financial modelling.
  • Have excellent communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with teams across different business areas and disciplines.
  • Have strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Be confident supporting change adoption, testing and continuous improvement activities.

Additional skills and experiences would be great to have/bring:

  • Experience across finance process areas including R2R, P2P, O2C and FP&A.
  • Understanding of finance control frameworks.
  • Experience supporting data analysis or migration within system implementations.
  • Experience supporting UAT processes and governance, ideally using Azure DevOps.
  • Experience working in project or transformation environments.
