Make a real difference behind the scenes as a Resource Coordinator at Thames Water. You’ll keep operations running smoothly by planning and scheduling work, ensuring the right jobs reach the right teams at the right time.

What you’ll be doing as a Resource Coordinator:

  • You’ll be responsible for creating and dispatching maintenance tasks, making sure work is prioritised correctly and completed on time.
  • You’ll coordinate reactive work and emergency requests, ensuring everything meets SLA targets and is handled efficiently.
  • You’ll manage and schedule third-party appointments, working closely with contractors and internal teams to keep everything aligned.
  • You’ll act as a key point of contact between field teams, planners, and stakeholders, helping to keep communication clear and consistent.
  • You’ll monitor progress, follow up on incomplete work, and make sure any issues are escalated and resolved quickly.
  • You’ll support the wider team by helping reduce backlogs and keeping schedules accurate and up to date.

Base location: Kemble Court, Reading

Working hours: 28.8 hours per week, Monday to Friday (can be flexible) with shifts between 07:00–15:00

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Confident communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work with a range of stakeholders.
