Engage with IT leaders, Enterprise Domain Architects, Solution Architects, and Product and Programme teams to develop and align technology strategies with business objectives. Own and manage the strategy and roadmap for one or more technology domains, ensuring alignment with organisational goals. Translate business direction and desired outcomes into coherent and actionable technology strategies. Govern and oversee technical designs required to deliver change across multiple technology platforms. Act as lead architect on initiatives within your assigned technology domain where required. Develop and maintain accurate architectural models within the Enterprise Repository. Create and maintain policies, procedures, and standards for relevant technology domains. Provide guidance and support to product and project teams on architectural best practices. Collaborate with stakeholders to communicate strategies, roadmaps, and architectural decisions. Contribute to the architecture community by promoting knowledge sharing and demonstrating thought leadership. Provide architectural recommendations and contribute to governance forums and decision‑making processes. Ensure engineering teams adhere to governance processes and architectural standards. Stay current with emerging technologies, vendor solutions, and industry trends.

What you should bring to the role:

  • Strong experience in Technical or Enterprise Architecture with a focus on technology platforms.
  • Ability to consult across a broad range of technologies, platforms, and vendor solutions to drive business outcomes.
  • Experience working collaboratively with senior stakeholders, architects, and delivery teams.
  • Strong strategic thinking and the ability to align technology with business goals.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to lead architectural discussions and influence decision‑making.
  • Good organisational and planning skills with attention to detail.

Technical experience and skills:

  • Experience with SAP Business Technology Platform.
  • Knowledge of SAP ERP, SAP Utilities, SAP C4C, and SAP BW/4HANA.
  • Familiarity with SAP Integration software and integration architectures.
  • In‑depth knowledge of at least one technology domain relevant to enterprise environments.
  • Ability to design, govern, and document technical architectures and solutions.

Desirable qualifications and experience:

  • Experience in strategic planning and developing technology strategies and roadmaps.
  • Experience across multiple technology domains with ownership of associated roadmaps.
  • Experience working with stakeholders across complex organisations.
  • Experience in portfolio management and technology strategy development.
  • Experience with SAP Cloud Platform Integration or SAP Integration Suite.
  • Experience migrating from legacy SAP applications to cloud and SaaS solutions.
  • Experience with SAP cloud applications such as Ariba and SuccessFactors.

Desirable technical skills and qualifications:

  • Understanding and practical use of architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or ArchiMate.
