We have an exciting opportunity for an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor who will work on a portfolio of projects under the supervision of a Senior Quantity Surveyor to ensure that value for money is achieved alongside contractual compliance. You could have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects ranging in contractor value from £25,000 to £200,000, during your career at Thames Water.
What you’ll be doing as an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor:
- Supporting the Commercial Assurance of Major Projects and Programmes Contracts.
- Challenge and agreement of small to medium value project Tenders.
- Ensuring that payments are made on time and in accordance with the Contract for your given portfolio of Projects.
- Supporting the optimisation of budgets and spending on the portfolio of Projects.
- Data Collection of the relevant Contracts on the assigned portfolio.
- Auditing and agreeing on Project Accounts.
- Experience in commercially managing small projects both pre- and post-contract.
- Hold a degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
- Be aware of water regulation.
- Be good at building and maintaining relationships.
- Hold a full UK Driving license and have your own transport.
Competitive salary from £43,000 - £53,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Annual Leave - 26 days holiday per year, increasing to 30 with the length of service (plus bank holidays).
