We’re looking for a specialist recruiter in our operations team to join our internal recruitment experts. As a Resourcing Business Partner in the UK’s largest Water company, Thames Water, you’ll be embedded into the company’s vision and culture and build relationships across the organisation. We’re looking for an individual who has a passion for recruitment, thrives in finding the right people for the right roles and can deliver results in an environment of continuous improvement.

Here are the key responsibilities:

  • Build and manage the relationships with key business stakeholders, HR Business Partnering team, candidates, and our outsourced preferred suppliers (PSL).
  • Ensure we have talent pipelines existing to meet the future resource requirements of the business.
  • Attend weekly/monthly meetings to ensure you’re kept informed with the recruitment requirements in your area.
  • Work in collaboration with other Resourcing Business Partners in the team, sharing best practice and ensuring that a consistent approach is adopted across Thames Water.
  • Ensure that the end-to-end recruitment process supports a positive experience to our candidates at all times.
  • Direct source and recruit candidates from a variety of sources, including profiling and head-hunting, sourcing via LinkedIn and alternative job boards.
  • Conduct in-depth telephone assessments of potential candidates through comprehensive interviewing and work history review.
  • Consult with Hiring Managers to obtain a full understanding of each vacancy and their requirements, providing insight on routes to market and salary benchmarking.
  • Agree a recruitment strategy with each Hiring Manager to meet set SLA's and KPI's.
  • Conduct comprehensive 360 recruitment for project-based hiring.

What we are looking for:

To be successful, you’ll have demonstrable experience within Engineering and/or Project Management recruitment, ideally gained within an Agency or In-house environment. Experience of direct sourcing different levels and securing placements in short timescales is essential, as well as experience of liaising with external agencies and off-site clients. We work in a fast-paced environment and no two days are the same, therefore you’ll need to be able to prioritise your workload, work under pressure and deliver to tight deadlines. You’ll need to be fully PC literate on Microsoft Office and able to pick up new systems with ease. At Thames Water, we work with SAP and a bespoke applicant tracking system and it would be great if you have worked on a similar system. We also work in a structured, process-driven environment, so you must enjoy working to a process, ensuring you are following the correct recruitment methodology and frameworks at all times.
