This is a busy and varied administration role supporting our Planning & Scheduling teams, helping to keep field operations running smoothly across Thames Water. You’ll play an important part in maintaining accurate scheduling records, supporting field teams and managers, and making sure technician availability is correctly reflected in our systems.

Please note this is a fixed-term contract for 6 months.

What you’ll be doing as a Resource Administrator:

  • Managing and updating employee availability, attendance and shift records
  • Processing requests received by email, phone and internal system
  • Supporting shift swaps, standby updates and non-availability requests
  • Monitoring and maintaining appointment slot availability across multiple regions
  • Making reactive scheduling adjustments based on workload forecasts
  • Communicating with field teams and managers to support daily operations
  • Escalating issues where needed to minimise operational impact
  • Supporting continuous improvement and working collaboratively with wider teams
  • Using systems including SAP, Salesforce, Click and Microsoft Office

Base location: Kemble Court, Reading - hybrid

Working hours: 21.6 hours per week. In this role, you will be working 3 working days a week, 8 am to 4 pm, with one day a week from the office.

What you should bring to the role:

  • Experience working in a fast-paced administrative or customer service environment
  • Good attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure
  • Ability to manage priorities and take ownership of your workload
  • Experience within Planning & Scheduling, SAP, Click, or the Water/Wastewater industry would be beneficial, but is not essential.
