We are currently seeking an Assurance Analyst to join our Alarm Monitoring Centre (AMC). Forming part of the Protective Security Team, you will be supporting the performance of physical security across Thames Water, ensuring our critical assets are secure. As the AMC Assurance Analyst, you will work within our Alarm Monitoring Centre (AMC) which continuously monitors the security of our estate. The AMC is connected to remote sites through multi-face communications such as Video Surveillance Systems (VSS), Intruder Detection Systems (IDS), Electronic Access Control (EAC), ADSL line etc. The reports and insights generated will directly feed into our compliance requirements e.g. Protective Security Guidance (PSG), Water UK Security WUKSS and SEMD.
What you’ll be doing as an Assurance Analyst:
- Create, upkeep and present reports that demonstrate compliance with legal requirements, including reports and requests from government agencies such as DWI or DEFRA.
- Ownership of system health, working with large data sets drawn from a number of sources to identify trends and drive system compliance.
- Design and create dashboards to present key information in an easy-to-understand format.
- Input into ESS contractor performance meetings and reports, using data insights to improve our utilisation of the third-party.
- Support continuous improvement activity, using data insights to inform and identify opportunities for operational and process improvements.
- In collaboration with the Security Systems Lead oversee maintenance requests, faults ensuring the functionality of the AMC is maintained.
- Support the AMC upgrade project, to ensure successful delivery of ESS systems.
- Develop key relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Responsible for delivering agreed security KPIs and adhering to agreed SLAs.
What you should bring to the role:
- A degree or equivalent within an analytical field (e.g. Science, Maths, Geographical disciplines) or substantial work experience in a similar type of role.
- Role subject to national security clearance when in post. (NSV to CTC)
- Data, Analytical and Insight experience with strong numeracy and analysis skills.
- Experience in a related discipline (i.e. Business or Data Analyst) and a willingness to develop into a security role.
- Experience of developing and writing reports, good written communication skills.
- Strong negotiation and people influencing skills.
- Ability to communicate at all levels, present to an audience and build strong relationships.
- Office/Microsoft systems incl. Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Data analytical tools e.g. Excel, PowerQuery, SQL and PowerBI.
