What you will be doing as a Technical Compliance Advisor:
- Building relationships with operational colleagues and suppliers in reviewing procedures and operational delivery against industry standards/best practices.
- Working with various stakeholders and experts to produce guidance documents to introduce consistent standards across all work.
- Being naturally inquisitive, always looking for ways to improve compliance with asset/industry standards and deliver the best value for money.
- Using a starter-finisher mindset to ensure that improvements are embedded.
- Accessing a strong network of support within the operational commercial function, allowing improvements to be made at pace with access to contract managers, quantity surveyors, and senior managers.
- Embracing adaptability to flex resources to meet demands.
Location: You will be working all across the Thames Water patch. Suitable candidates can be based across London (West, North & Central).
Working Hours: 36 hours per week.
What you should bring to the role:
- Strong organisation and communication skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Proactive and flexible.
- High-quality report writing.
- Inquisitive.
- High level of commercial acumen.
- Excellent MS Excel skills.
- Experience in reading and interpreting construction drawings/asset standards.
- Interpersonal skills/building relationships.
- Knowledge of construction techniques.
- Methodical approach to quality assurance.
- Knowledge of wastewater is ideal but not essential.
- Knowledge of Salesforce is ideal but not essential.
