About the role: Are you looking for a rewarding career where you can make a real difference? We are seeking up to six enthusiastic Project Support Technicians to join our dedicated team at our Ashford Common - Water Treatment Site. Help us deliver clean, reliable water across London while playing a crucial role in supporting major and minor capital projects throughout the city.
As a Project Support Technician, you will provide outstanding customer service by undertaking operational tasks, resolving customer issues, and carrying out network valve activities with minimal disruption to water supplies. You’ll also support the smooth delivery of projects both large and small, making every day both varied and rewarding. This essential front-line position ensures the continued success of our business – we simply can’t operate without your skills and commitment. You will work in all weather conditions and tackle a range of challenges, so adaptability and a can-do attitude are key.
What you’ll be doing as the Project Support Technician:
- Responsible for investigating the clean water network to resolve poor asset performance, including high or low pressure, leakage metering queries and loss of supply.
- Professionally communicating with all stakeholders to ensure efficient completion of projects and maintenance programmes.
- Provide specialist technical advice where appropriate to support the first-time completion of planned works.
- Attend and contribute to performance meetings to provide updates and highlight risks to delivery.
- Support the implementation of new technical systems and processes to improve the efficiency of the PS team.
- Proactively seek to understand asset care plans and asset criticality, as well as produce scope of work packs upon request.
- Engagement with Health & Safety initiatives, providing examples of best practice/contributions, and improvements.
Base Location: Walton-on-Thames - KT12 2EG
Working Pattern: 38 Hours Monday- Friday, plus Standby rota payments & Overtime opportunities can increase your earning potential upon completion of essential company training.
Due to the nature of this role, you must hold a full UK driver's licence.
What you should bring to the role:
- Be a strong collaborator, building trust within teams and across siloes.
- Collaborate with colleagues to tackle key outcomes, not specific problems and enable others to collaborate and raise performance.
- Can demonstrate a strong external customer service ethic, measurement of customer satisfaction and a proven track record of delivering improvement for internal and external customers.
- Proven experience in project or work coordination with the ability to communicate in a friendly, open, honest and constructive manner with a range of people and stakeholder departments.
- An understanding of domestic plumbing, water mains & leakage detection.
- A water industry qualification in operating water networks, or an equivalent qualification.
- This role will require you to work autonomously as well as within a team.
- Full UK driving licence.
