Salary: This role will be paid up to £29,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience.

This is a busy and hands-on role where you will play an important part in keeping field operations running smoothly and ensuring customers receive the best possible service. You will be at the centre of activity, planning workloads, solving problems in real time, and supporting teams on the ground to deliver essential water services.

Please note this is a fixed-term/secondment contract for 10-12 months.

What you’ll be doing as a Planner:

  • Planning and scheduling both planned and reactive work for field engineers.
  • Coordinating closely with local authority permitting teams to ensure work is compliant.
  • Keeping customers updated throughout their journey and managing expectations.
  • Monitoring field activity and progress throughout the day, adjusting plans where needed.
  • Managing emergency work allocations and ensuring all related updates and systems are completed.
  • Communicating changes to field supervisors and supporting smooth day-to-day operations.

Base location: Kidlington OX5 1QT

Working hours: 36 hours per week, 8 am to 4 pm, hybrid working.

What you should bring to the role:

  • Strong attention to detail with accurate data entry skills.
  • Previous experience in an office or administrative environment.
  • Customer service experience with good communication skills.
  • Confident using IT systems and able to learn new tools quickly.
  • A team-focused approach with a willingness to support others.
  • Understanding of the Clean Water network would be beneficial but not essential.
