Thames Water is looking for a Business Change Analyst to join our Revenue Assurance & Bad Debt Reduction Delivery Team on a 12-month hybrid contract. In this role, you will primarily work remotely, with occasional office visits for team meetings or to deliver workshops that support your role objectives.

What you'll be doing as a Business Change Analyst:

  • You’ll collaborate closely with process owners, stakeholders, and Heads of Department.
  • This Delivery Team is responsible for driving end-to-end change initiatives that underpin the ongoing transformation of the function – from idea conception to delivery, governance, and benefits realisation.
  • As the Business Change Analyst, you’ll lead key activities to scope ideas, capture business requirements, and develop business cases.
  • Your work will help the department and Thames Water make informed decisions on which transformation projects to prioritise and deliver.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Scoping/sizing of the opportunities - conduct necessary research required to put forward recommendations on priorities.
  • Analyse current business processes and gather requirements for proposed change - collaborating with wider teams to create a comprehensive set of business requirements.
  • Set up and run workshops, deep dive sessions and lead information gathering.
  • Collaborate with SMEs to ensure requirements and designs reflect accurate process flows and proposed changes are fit-for-purpose.
  • Convert complex ideas into concise documentation/presentations and robust business cases to engage key stakeholders and obtain approval to proceed.
  • Support the design and development of the initiative solution.
  • Create reports to measure our deliverables and report progress.

What we are looking for:

  • Experience of change and transformation is desired.
  • Excellent communication (verbal & written) and organisation skills.
  • Confident in leading meetings and communicating with key stakeholders.
  • Project Delivery exposure.
  • Experience putting together business cases and collecting information from different functions, asking critical questions, and developing benefits and cost structures.

Base Location: Hybrid - Walnut Court - SN2 8BN

Hours: Monday - Friday, 36 hours per week
